Spectre Studios Serial Killer Action Figures 2001 Series One Pogo the Clown

This rare vintage 2001 Spectre Studios Serial Killer Action Figures Series One John Wayne Gacy as Pogo the Clown official action figure is not in the original box.

It stands about 6 1/4″ tall, about 4 1/2″ wide from hand to hand, and about 2 1/2″ wide from the side view.  It weighs 4.5 oz.

This action figure is Extremely Rare and hard to come by. I bought it brand new when it first came out. Each John Wayne Gacy / Pogo the Clown series one action figure was hand painted and has its own unique flaws and quirks.

There are some places where the red paint seems to have flaked off a bit, but I think it actually came with most of those spots.  The white paint is shiny and pearlescent, like it was intentional.

The gap showing between the arms and shoulders are intentional as well – this is just how the figure was built.  The arms move, the head moves, everything is still in perfect working order.

Spectre Studios is a Colorado toy company headed by David Johnson.

Johnson gained controversy in 2002 for making a line of serial killer action figures that were featured on the Nation Enquirer, including an action figure of Jeffrey Dahmer.

The “Serial Killer” line included Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy, Ed Gein, Pogo the Clown, Lizzie Borden, and Charles Manson, and O. J. Simpson.

The company also made a line of winged women with the characters Gabrielle, Dorcha, Salleene, and Frist.

David Johnson retired Spectre Studios in 2010, but has since come out of retirement with a new rebooted line of serial killers.

This Pogo the Clown Action Figure was from the original 2002 Serial Killer Action Figures Series.
