Once upon a time, I lived in Ripon, Wisconsin. I made a website for local author David Sakrison, who is one of the authors of this book. I love to support the people who support me, so I bought a copy from him the same month it was published in 2000. My First Edition copy has been signed by both authors (picture included) and is dedicated to Jessica (me).
This fascinating look at the history of Ripon, Wisconsin is in great shape! The book itself is in mint condition. The jacket is in fair to good condition because it has a couple of small rubbed places, and there is also a tear/rip in the back jacket (pictured). Otherwise unmarked inside or out, tight binding.
215 pages with b&w photos throughout.
Over 1,500 copies of A Portrait of Ripon, were printed. Ripon, Wisconsin’s most recent history book features a vast collection of historic photos from Ripon’s first 100 years. The hardbound book, with over 375 photographs features 13 chapters that range from the founding of Ripon and its predecessor, Ceresco, to early industries, farms, schools, churches, the college, roads and railroads, social life, festivals and celebrations, storms and disasters, wartime, and the birth of the Republican Party.
